Reflections is a Hmong Band from Morganton, North Carolina. The
band was formed back in 1996 by a group of brothers, Meng, Nai,
Kory, Chai Lor. Before the recording of their first album
entitled, “Nkauj Hmong”, they recruited guitarist and vocal Kudo
Vue and two other brothers Pao & Long Her to join the band.
After a year of hard work “Nkauj Hmong” was released locally in
the summer of 2000. The album quickly became a success and the
band’s popularity grew within the Hmong Community. Due to the
different lifestyle of the members, the band parted and went on
to pursue their careers.
In 2003, the original founders of the band (Kory & Nai), along with their manager Sonny Vue, recruited new guitarist Seng Xiong & keyboardist Kong Xiong and combined the new talents Reflections. The band plays a wide variety of music ranging from alternative, rock, pop, and even country. Since the reformation, the band has been working on their second album entitled, “120 Xyoo” which was released in St. Paul on July 4, 2005. This summer the band made appearances in St. Paul, MN on July 4th and in Green Bay, WI on Labor Day to promote their new release. Reflections Philosophy: To perform and write songs based on our love and passion for music. Our goal in song writing is to compose songs that everyone can relate to, despite age or gender. We hope to have touched or influence our audience with one song or another. Read each member's biography.
